Cavan Arts Festival

Friday 21st September (also coincides with Culture Night 2018) 

Kicking off at 6pm in Con Smith Park, Cathedral Road, Cavan.  Artists on the opening night include;

  • Comedian Fred Cooke
  • 'A Fresh Encounter' with musician Daragh Slacke and poet Noel Monahan 
  • Published Cavan author Rebecca O’Connor reads from her debut novel 'He is mine and i have no other' 
  • Musicians by The Andensomes - Karina Charles and Andrew Lynch
  • Martin Donohoe, Traditional musican and Cavan Kendo Kai 
  • Experiential theatre 'Birding' a temporal theatre piece by Freda Donoghue 
  • Larry Beau 

Events will continure on Saturday 22nd throughout the day with: 

  • Fanzini Bothers: Guido Fanzini’s Impossible Circus
  • Baby Rave: DJ Flynnstar
  • Dave Rock: Freestyling, Spoken Word and Rap workshop 
  • The Song Sisters: Disco Meyhem 
  • Maestro Cormac McCann 
  • Mars Needs Guitars
  • A Tea party in the woods
  • Hula Hoop with Nicole Beck 
  • Pottery workshop with Aisling McElwain 
  • Gonzo Youth Theatre
  • Cavan Sinfonia Youth Orchastra
  • Theatrical preformances, workshops and much, much more
