See the Erne River by boat

Get up close to nature and tour the scenic Erne River by hiring a boat from Belturbet Day Boat Hire. Boats are available for full or half-day hire and are purpose-built for safety and stability. No previous boating equipment is required and instruction will be provided on the day.

All safety equipment is supplied, including adult and junior life jackets. Fishing tackle is also available if required.

The second-longest river in the province of Ulster, the River Erne rises in Cavan and flows for 80 miles through County Fermanagh and on to the sea at Ballyshannon, County Donegal, taking in Lough Gowna, Lough Oughter and Upper and Lower Lough Erne along the way.

A boat trip along this scenic route is the perfect opportunity to take in sights such as Crom Castle, Gad Island, Devenish Island, Inismacsaint Island, Davy’s Island, White Island, and Boa Island.
