September festivals and events in County Cavan

8th September 2018. Cavan Triathlon Club will be hosting the LET'S TRI CAVAN, Sprint Triathalon and kids Aquathon. The Event takes place in Killykeen Forest Park, outside Cavan Town, on Saturday 8th September 2018. For further information visit  Let's Tri Cavan - CTC 

  

 

8th + 9th September 2018. European Heritage Open Days – Jewel of the Geopark Bus Tour. 10am-5pm leaving from the Marble Arch Visitor Centre. (GPS: 54.25, -7.81). *Note Sunday 9th's Tour will be in Irish (As Gaeilge) Only. 

Join Geopark staff for a guided tour of the key sites within Marble Arch Caves UNESCO Global Geopark . Learn about the intriguing history of the Cavan Burren Park, enjoy the stunning vista from Cornagee Viewpoint, take an optional nature walk up Cladagh Glen, satisfy your appetite in the Marble Arch Café and embark on a guided tour of the Marble Arch Caves! 9th September 2018.   The Mullagh Fair Day Takes place in the village of Mullagh Co. Cavan. There will be traditional Fair day events aswell as a World Record Kilian attempt. For more information visit Mullagh Fair Day    

14th - 16th September 2018.  The 14th Gerry Whelan Memorial Weekend Festival takes place in Cootehill, Co. Cavan . The Event is hosted by the Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and there will be an action packed weekend of traditional music, song and dance with lots of new and old faces coming together to share their music, songs and stories.
