27th October Spooky Night Paddle on Lough Oughter with Cavan Canoe Centre

28th October Samhain Picnic Saluting the Ancestors in Cavan Burren Park 

2nd November: Halloween  Build Your Bear Workshop at Bear Essentials - 2 hours of fun in making teddy bears or a scary Halloween cat or fox!

10th - 24th November Cavan & Monaghan Science Festival has events taking place throughout County Cavan. 

22nd December Winter Solstice Sunset Walk in Cavan Burren Park.

1st Saturday of every Month The Cottage Market, West Cavan in Ballyconnell; Cavan town Farmers Market every Friday 11am - 2pm in Townhall carpark, Townhall Street, Cavan. 

Each Month: TheOpen Door Sessions  , in association with Cavan County Council is held monthly in the downstairs area of The Square Bar in Bailieborough. 

All Autumn & Winter Visit the newly opened community Cuilcagh Cafe in Swanlinbar, at the foot of Cuilcagh Mountain.  Also the Ramor Theatre in Virginia has a full programme of events taking place which can be viewed here. Visit Cavan County Musuem in Ballyjamesduff and see what it has to offer; including its fantastic 1916 GPO experience along with the only World War 1 Trench Experience in Ireland or the UK.
