There may be many answers to the question ‘why were there not far more women in positions of influence in Ireland in the immediate pre and post independence period?’ But Myles Dungan thinks there is a very simple answer . . . MEN.

Find out more about this eternal and topical discussion on 'The Alpha Male In Irish History' with RTÉ Radio 1's Dr Myles Dungan on Tuesday 17 April at 8pm.

On Friday, 20 April, at 8pm, the museum's event space hosts internationally acclaimed guitarist and vocalist, Robin James Hurt, for a night of fresh original tunes, foot-stomping folk songs and passionate ballads from Ireland, Scotland and beyond.
