Shopping in the centre of Cavan town is mainly located along Main Street and Bridge Street.
There are many small boutiques and shoe shops. In addition the town has several high quality gift and craft shops including Cavan Gifts on Main Street. Farmers markets in the town take place on Friday mornings from 11pm - 2pm in Town Hall Carpark and Saturday mornings at McCarrons Shop on Farnham Road. The Cottage Market takes place on the first Saturday of the month at the Courthouse in Ballyconnell from 11am - 3pm.
County Cavan has a strong sense of identify and this is reflected in the many craftspeople creating and selling their wares in the county.
